Mission Trip to Lacombe Canada

Theme: Living Inside Out

Verse: Romans 12: 1-2 (The Message) “You’ll be changed from the inside out.” In context: "So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.

Hi church friends!
Our first day was mainly traveling and singing Disney songs with Jay. We played many games and kept ourselves entertained for 16 hours. It was a long ride and we are still not even in Canada! We have finished our day by having dinner at Fuddruckers, yes you bet they were great burgers. Tonight we are bedding down in Great Falls Montana for the night at the local Comfort Inn. This is Ann Magnuson saying "HI to Mom" and that I am having a wonderful trip so far.

We Have Arrived!!!

The Passion Play

 Monday at Work

“Today was our first day on our work site.  This is John Wimmer reporting from Canada EH. First I would like to say Hi to my mommy. My first job today was to go to this Elderly Chinese woman, yes we are in Canada.  When we got there our job was to repaint all window’s and soffits.  We climbed to the top of a 70 Foot high (this is how high I felt it  was maybe off on the actual amount)scaffolding to over our job.  Don’t worry we had safety goggles to break the fall.  We had to first strip the paint and scrap and put primer on.  The best part was around lunch time when we took our break and the lady comes out and asks if we wanted her to make her dinner.  We thought we would be nice so went inside and she started asking us if we liked raw fish. Asking if we likey? Other youth went to different sites and then we meet up at night after showers and dinner for worship.  That is about all for today we are heading to worship in a little bit.  Keep praying for us, we are having a blast.  Reporting live from Canada John Wimmer”

More Work and Play!

"Wednesday we got to go Hiking at Mtns. It was a very long hike up. We got
to see a lake at the top, and we got to wade in the cool mountain water.  We
ended our day worshiping at the waterfall.  What a gorgeous world God
created.  Mom and dad I am doing great and I am not fighting with my
brother."  See you on Monday Night Katelyn Todd.

"This is Laura reporting from my work site.  Today we washed the siding on
the outside of the West View Apartment's which is specific housing for the
elderly. Other things we did was wash walls in the common room and a few
apartments for the residents. The boys in our group were busy cleaning out
gutters outside and helping with random jobs. After a while we ran out of
jobs there and headed over to another care center. After working we went to
the corn maze and a water fight broke out, I was soaked. Then we came back
to the school and had worship and devotions. Now I have to go to bed to
finally get some sleep. Goodnight(:
